FAITH and the ENVIRONMENT
5 talks, each Monday between 17th February and 18th March, 2024
7.30pm
St. Patrick’s Gateway Centre, Waterford.
Given the important and abiding challenge of Climate Change, its already discernible negative impact on our lives, and the urgency to address it, these talks are for people of all faiths and none. It is our hope that they will help engender further thought and debate on the need to mitigate the on-going adverse effects of human behaviour on this precious planet and its inhabitants.
Each speaker will bring her/his distinctive response to the general title, Faith and the Environment.

Soul Mates 2024
A national event for children (9-13) within the Methodist Church in Ireland. We focus on Bible teaching, creativity and fun throughout the programme. We want to see every child learn more about God, the Bible and themselves through energetic & engaging worship, teaching, entertainment and workshops. Our team of volunteers create safe environments where children aged 9-13 can have fun and grow in their personal relationships with Jesus.

Respect, Eco Open Event takes place on Saturday 11 November 2023 following the very successful Event last year.
Autumn Soul 2023
Autumn Soul is the national youth event for the Methodist Church in Ireland, focusing on missional discipleship through bible teaching, praise, seminars, community, and fun. It gives young people and youth groups the space they need to meet Jesus in fresh ways, learn about the Bible and encounter the Holy Spirit.

Children's Ministry Training | Wed 30th Aug - 7:30PM
At this online webinar we will hear from those actively working with children in a ministry setting. We will explore how to encourage healthy emotions in our children, how to be inclusive of children with special educational needs, and how to connect well with families. We will also review some resources that may help in your ministry setting.
This is open to anyone volunteering or working with children in a ministry setting.

Conference 2023
The two hundred and fifty fourth Conference of the Methodist Church in Ireland will take place from Thursday 8th – Sunday 11th June, 2023.
Mission Partner Deputation
Irish Methodist Mission Partner Melissa Newell is currently on furlough in Northern Ireland.
Melissa Newell has been serving as a Mission Partner with La Iglesia Evangélica Metodista Unida del Ecuador since February 2022.
She is based in the town of Puerto Misahuallí where she will split her time between teaching English and serving the church through young adult ministry and building up a discipleship programme.
If you haven’t had the chance to see Melissa in person, you’d be very welcome to join her for an online deputation event on Thursday 11th May, at 7:30pm on Zoom.
She'll be sharing stories and pictures of her work, and it's well worth coming along to hear about her experience of Mission in Ecuador!

An Introduction to Prayer Ministry
The Ministries Team is pleased to announce a roll-out of District Prayer Ministry training days. This training will focus on introducing Prayer Ministry. It will explore what it means to pray with others, to intercede on someone’s behalf, and to help those who want to respond and spend time in God’s presence to receive His love, peace, comfort and healing. This training is open to all who desire to learn more about this ministry, for refresher training, and will equip participants to provide prayer ministry in a church, event or community setting.
