Applications for the Bossey study scholarship.

The World Federation of Methodist and Uniting Church Women is taking applications for the Bossey study scholarship.

The scholarship is to contribute to the costs of study on one of the short courses at the Bossey Institute in Switzerland (the ecumenical study centre for the World Council of Churches).

To qualify you need to be a Methodist, a woman and in Britain or Ireland (because there is one scholarship per Unit).

Preference will be given to applicants who are under 40, lay, and will use the learning in a church context. However the thing to note is the real urgency – applications need to go through an international selection process in the next couple of weeks (so completed forms in to Area Methodist Women by 21st November) AND applications to Bossey need to be in separately by 30th November.

To apply for the grant you need three things:

  • A completed application form

  • A curriculum vitae / CV (of no more than 2 sides)

  • A letter of one or two sides explaining why you want to follow your chosen course.
