The two hundred and fifty-fifth Conference of the Methodist Church in Ireland will take place at Assembly Buildings in Belfast from Wednesday 5th – Saturday 8th June, 2024.

Preparation Meetings
Pre-Conference preparation meetings have taken place on Zoom. If you are a member of Conference and were unable to attend one of the meetings, you can catch up below.
PRESIDENT-DESIGNATE 2024-25
Rev Dr John Alderdice
The Rev Dr John D Alderdice is designated President of the Conference and of the Methodist Church in Ireland for the Connexional year 2024-2025.
John is currently stationed as Superintendent of the Ballynafeigh Circuit and is currently a Trustee of the Methodist Church in Ireland, a Convenor of the Connexional Team and is a governor of Methodist College. John is also an Ecumenical Canon of Down Cathedral.
lay leader-DESIGNATE 2024-26
Mrs Elaine Barnett
Mrs Elaine M Barnett is designated Lay Leader of the Conference for the Connexional years 2024-2026.
Elaine is a Local Preacher on the Carrickfergus Circuit, and Society Steward in Whitehead.
