MWI Prayer Points for January 2018

Month Of Prayer -  January 2018

Prayer Points:

  • MWI throughout the Connexion - Give thanks for the members who have taken on new roles at Branch, District or Connexion level and for the continued dedication of all members. Pray others will come forward to serve in the leadership roles which remain vacant at this time.
  • Please remember our President Elizabeth as she continues her work in Sri Lanka and as she travels throughout Ireland to meet and share fellowship with members in all Districts. May God grant her protection and guide her thoughts and actions as she seeks to serve Him at home and abroad.
  • As the Methodist Church in Ireland moves forward to operate under a three District structure, pray that the General Executive would have a clear vision of how MWI can work most effectively under this new arrangement. Pray for wisdom to recognise changes which may have to be made in order to best meet the needs of women of all ages and nationalities that are currently represented within MCI.
  •  Helen Kim Memorial Scholar – Give thanks for the friendships that have been steadily growing between Wanda and her fellow Helen Kim Scholars. Pray for guidance, wisdom and opportunities for Wanda as she seeks to proclaim who Jesus is and what He has and is doing in her life.
  • World Federation – Please continue to pray for Allison Judd and Louise Wilson in their respective roles as World President and Area President. Pray for the Officers of the Britain and Ireland Area as they formulate final details for the 10th Joint European Seminar to be held in Belfast from 7th – 11th June 2018 and for the delegates who will attend. May God be honoured by all that takes place during the seminar and may those attending be encouraged in their faith and uplifted through the fellowship they enjoy.
  • Sisters in Myanmar – Give thanks for the opportunities our delegation had to meet with our sisters and brothers during their recent trip to Myanmar. Please pray for the many projects in which the ladies of CMWA are involved and in particular their work with the patients and families living in the leprosy colony. As we continue to build our relationship with our sisters in Myanmar please pray for their President, Area Superintendents and all Office Bearers. Pray also for a peaceful solution to the on-going problems between the Buddhist and Muslim peoples in that country.
  • President’s Project - Give thanks for the money raised to date for this year’s project which is to assist with the general expenses of the Joint Seminar and to support some of our European sister to attend. Pray for guidance to identify a project for 18/19, which will meet the Sustainable Development Goals allocated to our Area during the current quinquennium.
  • Pray for the Leaders of our church - President Rev Dr Laurence Graham, Lay leader Dr Fergus O’Farrell, Secretary of Conference Rev. Dr. John Stevens; that they may have wisdom and insight for the way forward.
  • Pray for our members and any of their family members who are ill or for whom life is difficult at this time.
