Planting & Renewal Gathering: Southern / Firgrove

The Methodist Church in Ireland made a commitment at Conference in June 2018 to start and renew ten communities of faith across Ireland.

Throughout January and February 2019 we are hosting evenings in each of our new districts to bring together those who share the desire to see churches renewed and planted across Ireland. Facilitated by Methodist Home Mission alongside our current and incoming District Superintendents these evenings will give opportunity to grapple with planting and renewal in our own contexts as well as to discover the resources and support available to help us move forward.

North West District (Lakelands, North West District and Portadown Districts) – 30 January (Venue tbc)
North East District (Belfast, North East and Down Districts) – 28 February in Cregagh Methodist Church at 7.45pm
Southern District (Midlands and Southern and Dublin Districts) – due to the geographical distances in the Southern District there will be two separate gatherings. 13 February in the Firgrove Hotel, Mitchelstown at 7.45pm and the 24 January in Urban Junction, Blackrock at 7.45pm

The three new District Superintendents Phillip Agnew (new North East District), Andrew Dougherty (new Southern District) and Stephen Skuce (new North West District) will be at the relevant gatherings. Heather Morris and representatives from the Home Mission Department will also be there. If you would like to find out more about church planting or renewal or you feel God calling you or your church into something like this then come along and hear more. These evenings are open to anyone, lay and ordained, retired or working, male and female, young and old etc. We would love to meet you and hear what God is doing and share about planting and renewal and how we can help.
