In the Methodist Church in Ireland a Minister is constituted by the Call of God, the consent of the members of the Church, the election of the Conference, and the ordination to the office and work of a Minister in the Church of God by prayer and the laying on of hands.
The Conference has power to make from time to time such rules and regulations for the admission, probation, discipline, appointment, expulsion and retirement of Ministers as may seem right.
