From Our Knees: How does it work?
24-7prayer is not for experts. It's for those who find prayer a struggle. 24-7 is a model that works! It has proven unusually successful at mobilising people to pray like they've never prayed before. People learn to pray... by praying! 24-7 captures the imagination. Why? Because it's extreme. The dare is to be alone with God for a whole hour - maybe even in the middle of the night. 24-7 makes prayer easier. The arts play an important part. Many say that 'an hour feels like 10 minutes in the prayer room'.
- Sign up for an hour, you can pray day or night (use the form below - tick the hour(s) you want to pray and give us your contact details: your first name will appear on the appropriate page and you'll get an e-mail reminding you of the time/s you've signed up for).
- Come to the College Chapel on time: enter the College through the main entrance and follow signs through the dining hall, downstairs and along the corridor to the Chapel. Edgehill College is at the end of Lennoxvale, off the Malone Road near Chlorine Gardens. You can get directions on the College Website.
- You can pray with others or on your own, please let us know if you wish to have the prayer room to yourself (tick YES at the bottom of the form), otherwise other people may also sign up for your slot.
- In the room there will be several points for prayer and listening to God, to allow you to pray in whatever manner suits you.
- If you have enjoyed your experience sign up for another hour or take the idea back to your church/group.
