Last Christmas I received a present of sat nav to help me find the way on my M.W.I. journeys. The sat nav helps me map out my journey, constantly reassuring me with its familiar voice: 'Drive for two miles and then turn left.' Even when I take a wrong turning, I don't need to panic for the voice recalculates the route for me and gets me on the right way, until I hear those pleasing words, 'You have reached your destination.'

Life is a journey and we are all on a journey to somewhere. Some of us have completed a bit more of the journey than others. There have been good moments on the journey, as well as times which shook our lives to the core.

Jesus walked alongside the 2 downcast disciples on their journey to Emmaus and Jesus comes alongside us too, in our hurts and disappointments. When we decide to walk with Jesus in HIS way, the journey may be rough at times but we are never alone.

I am reminded of the words of a familiar Rogers and Hammerstein song:

Walk on through the wind,
Walk on through the rain,
Though your dreams be tossed and blown.
Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone.

I am being challenged to step out afresh in a whole new way, into a whole new scary place. Yet still the Lord whispers to me,'... go.' The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me and so He is with each of us, who know Jesus as Lord and Saviour.

He took care of the needs of the children of Israel as He brought them to the edge of the Promised Land and I do not want to miss what God has planned for my life because of the fear of taking a step of faith. Do you want to miss what God has planned for your life?

Choose to obey God in faith and walk in HIS way.
