SECURING GRANT AID FOR METHODIST CHURCHES
In response to various requests for advice and assistance, our Church Development Board are sponsoring a one day training seminar entitled, 'Researching and Securing Grant Aid for Methodist Churches'
The seminar will take place in Portlaoise Methodist Church on Saturday 24th. October, from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm. It is aimed at Methodist Churches throughout the Republic of Ireland and will be of particular benefit to Ministers, Society Stewards, and other members of congregations who wish to know more about securing grant aid for their church projects.
Numbers on the course are limited, and so all those interested are advised to secure their place as soon as possible by phoning Rev Paul Kingston (Chairman, Church Development Board) on 061 396236 or by email. A fee of €10 per person, payable on arrival, will be charged.
This seminar will provide a comprehensive review of how to research appropriate funders for church projects and of project planning issues that need to be addressed if churches are to make effective applications for grant aid. Participants will be encouraged to discuss how best to address questions contained in a typical funding application form. Ample time will be given for comments and questions and participants will be given a full set of notes to take away.
