If you are a UK tax payer you can increase your giving by using the Gift Aid declaration. 

The Experience Exchange Programme

This programme is a unique opportunity to spend 6 - 12 months sharing in mission in another part of the world. It offers you the chance to learn from a new culture and experience the church there. Placements are in Africa, Asia, South America, the Caribbean, Oceania and Eastern Europe. Although no professional skills are necessary, having them may equip you for certain types of placements.

What have some EEPs done in the past?

Literacy and nutritional programmes with women and children (Chile), social projects in shanty towns and with street children and prostitutes (Brazil), director's assistant in a centre for disabled children plus work with children (Israel), helping at the "Home of Grace" with former women prisoners and their children (India), taching computing and helping with a young adults life skills project (Ghana).
