General ideas for the prayer room

Reducing the amount natural light coming into the room allows you to use candles or other lighting effects - remember not to leave lit candles unattended though.

Large cushions on the floor provide a place to kneel, or to sit and relax, but it's good to also provide a couple of chairs at each base for people to sit and reflect.

If you have space in the room, you might like to set out a few chairs -
perhaps in 3s or 4s around coffee tables if available.

You could add candles and Bibles, and books of prayers or reflections.

Some people enjoy the quiet
atmosphere of a prayer room without the desire to focus on the material at the bases.

Music playing softly in the background seems to help the atmosphere and you become less aware of others moving around the room - there are some nice CDs of instrumental versions of Christian music available.
