Easter Focus - Omagh
Tell us about how your church got involved in 24-7 prayer?
When 24-7 prayer came to the North West District in February 2007, this new experience of how to pray prompted some within Omagh Methodist church to have an Easter prayer room that year.During a 36 hour period from Maundy Thursday into Good Friday over sixty people from the church and community used the prayer room, some coming back a number of times as a result of their encounter with God there.
The following Easter a similar room was set up that provided once again a non threatening opportunity to meet with God at this significant time of the church year.
Any practical advice for a church thinking of trying this model out?
The prayer room focussed on different aspects of the Easter story to allow reflection and prayer

How did your church respond? Any challenges or blessings?
One of the most moving memories of this prayer room was that of a 90 year old woman on her knees in front of the cross.
Out of the Easter prayer room experience a permanent prayer room was established in the Minister's room during the church year 2007 - 08 used by a small number of committed people from both church and community. 24 -7 prayer changed the spiritual atmosphere in the church.
