ECEC - Courses

Christian Education is for all those who want to learn more about the Bible and the Christian faith, so courses through ECEC are designed to offer a variety of learning opportunities.

Part-time courses are available for those who live within travelling distance of the College. For those who live further away, or for whom class times don't suit, Correspondence Courses are available.

In addition to our courses, Edgehill Theological College (of which we are a part) provides full- and part-time degree/certificate courses in Theology with the option of staying in student accommodation.

Access Course

This is a two-year part-time course accredited by Queen's University, Belfast. Those who successfully complete the course will be awarded a Foundation Certificate in Biblical and Theological Studies, and will be able to apply for B.D., B.Th., and Dip.Th. courses in the Institute of Theology at Queen's.

It is therefore an alternative to A level study, and one which is more appropriate for those who have been away from study for a few years.

Part-time classes

A variety of classes are on offer each year, some with no compulsory written assignments to be done. Most people who come to Edgehill Christian Education Centre seem to enjoy the friendship and fellowship as much as the course itself.

Correspondence Courses

ECEC Correspondence Courses are now well established and attract students from all over the U.K. and Ireland, as well as a few students from further afield. Students are able to study at home, using a workbook and set text book. Courses run from September to May with 3 or 4 assignments to be completed.

Workshops and Seminars

We offer or can arrange a selection of workshops and seminars that will help train members of congregations in the use of their gifts. These usually are for one or two sessions and can be run from Edgehill or somewhere more local to you.
