What is Spring Swell
Surfing is the fastest growing sport in Ireland at the moment with many surf schools dotted along the west coast and hundreds of cars heading West every weekend. For many surfers, there is a strong spiritual connection between riding the waves and God. As a surfer you must be in tune with the elements and the sport demands constant attention to weather forecasts and reading charts to predict what the conditions will be like on any given day. A surfer must be at one with nature and there is an undescribable feeling when you come down the face of a wave, that has travelled hundreds of miles across the oceans, to meet you at that one moment in time. After a surf session there is a great sense of refreshment and fulfilment both physically and mentally. You feel rejuvenated and left in awe of God’s power and creation. As the term goes, you feel “stoked”!
Spring Swell is a Christian Youth Surf Event aimed a bringing young people together for a weekend to have FUN, SURF and learn more about GOD in a cool and exciting way. Over the weekend there will be lots of fun activities and exciting things happening. This is the first event of its kind and I hope you will join us to be part of the Swell and ride the waves. So come, be part of the Swell and rise to the challenge of riding the waves and getting to know more about God. I guarantee, you will experience the “Stoke” and will leave on Sunday having had an amazing weekend of Fun, Food, Meeting new friends, Surfing and Learning more about God.
