Some Quotes...

Ben and Emma Dunwoody

‘I liked Follow the Star because the actors in the nativity play were so funny, especially King Herod and one of the Shepherds.’ “We were sort of in the play. The room looked just like a stable at night. There were puppets explaining about the Christingles. After the play we got to do craft, dressing up, play dough, painting and we made wise men boxes and crowns.” “It made us think about the story of Jesus being born in a different way. It helped us understand it better because it was like we were actually in it.” “At the end we each got a glow in the dark star to take home.”

Thank you for helping us learn about the Christmas story. We had fun making crowns and painting. Thank you for being so kind.

Seeing the children’s faces as they entered was worth every second of effort that was put in. The kids got really involved with the characters, and the simplicity of the story truly brought forward the meaning of Christmas for everyone involved. After the nativity we spent time helping the children paint or make Christingles, which was a great time to get to know, and to talk to them about Christmas. The smiles and thank-you’s made the whole thing extremely memorable.
