Review Announced

A review of the ISA registration scheme was announced by the new government in June 2010 to bring the scheme ‘to common sense levels’. As yet the review has not started but we are hopeful that this will occur in the next couple of months. We will keep you informed of any developments.

Please remember that anyone working with children and young people in Northern Ireland needs to go through the Access NI check before they begin to work with children and young people. This has NOT changed. The ISA registration process is an additional scheme – not a replacement for Access NI checks.

In the Republic, anyone working with children and young people needs to go through the Garda Vetting check before they begin to work with children and young people. This has NOT changed.
