The Menu

Think of the ConneXions process as a visit to a restaurant! If you go out for a meal you have to decide if you are going alone, with family, friends or strangers.

Throughout our thinking about conneXions, we have to ask the question, “with whom do we share the work of God’s Kingdom where we live and worship?”

So the introduction to how ConneXions impacts your local Church might look like this:

Setting the table

Who’s eating? - with whom (Methodist or others) do you share the same mission area? What are they already doing and are they willing to accept an invitation to join with you, or you with them for at least one course?!

The Waiter(ess) - To help you get the most out of the meal an Enabler, or in some cases two Enablers, will work in consultation with you. They may help you choose what is best for your situation and continue to accompany you as supportive guides or recommend other Enablers for particular courses.

Ordering

There is no correct order. Some Churches may go straight to a Main Course, others might have two Starters and a Dessert. However, each choice should have been discussed by the Leaders’ Meeting, after an introduction by a Contact Enabler. A 75% majority of those present need to commit to the course before it is served.
