Get Creative, Get Knitting

The Big Knit 2010Innocent Drinks is once again partnering Age NI on the innovative Big Knit fundraising campaign.

The Big Knit fundraiser needs people across Northern Ireland to knit small woolly hats to place on top of Innocent Smoothie bottles, these will then be sold in Sainsbury's and Boots stores during winter 2010.

For every hat knitted a donation of 25p will go directly to Age NI, the funds raised from this year's campaign will support Winter Warmth. ...Read more ->

Night and Day of Prayer

Our hope is that every church across this island would commit once again to one 24 hour period of prayer, beginning on Saturday the 20th November and ending up with a family service on the Sunday morning.
An Island and church, people of all ages, united in prayers of praise, request and repentance, night and day, with our ears open to hear what God might say to His people.

The focus is on mission, our presence in the communities and country we belong to, that we might be envisioned and challenged once again, to be sent out to fulfill God's mission in this land.

Resources will be posted here from late July and you'll be able to sign up your church to be part of this exciting initiative.

Read a short update on the last Night and Day prayer weekend which was held on September 2009 and if you still want to use the resources you'll find them here on the Night and Day of Prayer web page .

Welcome!

Thank you for visiting the MWI website! 'MWI' links together all the women's groups within the Methodist Church in Ireland as well as supporting individuals where groups do not exist. We trust you'll find helpful information in these pages.

Methodist Women in Ireland exists:

  • To enable members through fellowship with each other to deepen their personal commitment to Jesus Christ.
  • To relate the teaching of Jesus Christ to life in the home, the church, the community and the world.
  • To share in the mission of the World Church
  • To provide a link with the women of other churches in Ireland and throughout the world.
