Movilla Abbey Methodist Church

The main Conference venue is Movilla Abbey Methodist Church which is located on the eastern outskirts of Newtownards, about 10 miles east of Belfast in Northern Ireland.

Parking

Car parking is available at Movilla Abbey Church.

Additional car parking has been kindly granted at:

Movilla Gospel Hall (directly opposite to Movilla Abbey)

Movilla Presbyterian Church

You can walk from the overflow car parks the short distance to the venue. From Movilla Presbyterian Church Car Park turn left down the Movilla Road until you get to Movilla Abbey.

Some space may be allocated for disabled parking at Movilla Abbey Church - please contact the Conference organisers to arrange this in advance.

Cars are parked at the owner's own risk and you are advised to ensure you take all valuables with you.

Please do not park in the residential areas around the church: 'love thy neighbour'.

Shops

Conference members and visitors who haven't booked meals can make use of convenience stores approximately half a mile from Movilla Abbey Church; Newtownards town centre (Regent Street, High Street) is one mile from the Conference Venue and has a variety of coffee shops and restaurants, as does Ards Shopping Centre (about a ten-minute drive, located at Circular Road, where the main road from Belfast enters Newtownards).

There is a Spar and Boots on the corner of Movilla Road and Stratheden Heights. Further afield there are McDonalds and KFC.

Prayer Room:

There will be a quiet space set aside for prayer in the Conference Venue.
